Experience music inspired by literary greats, bringing their words to life through symphonic sound!

  • “Fate & Turmoil” — Pianist Philip Fisher joins SSSO for Beethoven’s heroic “Egmont Overture,” Strauss’ dramatic “Macbeth,” and Bernstein’s jazz-infused “The Age of Anxiety.”

  • “Poinsettia Pops” — Celebrate the season with festive holiday favorites and surprise special guest artists at this beloved annual tradition.

  • “The Game is Afoot” — Experience a thrilling journey into mystery with Glen Cortese’s “221B: A Sherlock Holmes Opera,” inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle. Guest artists to be announced.
    • 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026 at UPH
  • “Voices of Freedom” — The program highlights powerful works blending music and literature, from Debussy’s “La Cathédrale Engloutie” to Corigliano’s “Mr. Tambourine Man,” featuring texts by Martin Luther King Jr., and Bob Dylan. Guest artists to be announced.

  • “Poetic Echoes” — Saratoga Voices joins SSSO for a literary-inspired finale, featuring Price’s “Four Songs from the Weary Blues,” Williams’ “Towards the Unknown Region,” and Mendelssohn’s magical “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
