Special Kids Space Event!

The Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony will present a special student event prior to the concert on April 3rd. Starting at 2 p.m. in the Gallery on the 2nd floor of Proctors, students will have the opportunity to meet and hear from our special guest, Nicole Stott. Nicole is a former NASA Astronaut who spent over 100 days in space aboard the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. She will be joined by Steven Spiewak from miSci. Steven is the Planetarium Manager, and he will talk about the Voyager space missions. There will also be a hands-on activity where students will make their own “Pocket Solar System”.

This will prepare students for the World Premiere of “Voyager: A Journey to the Stars” which the orchestra will perform at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at Proctors box office and student tickets are free with a paid adult. We hope to see all of you budding space enthusiasts there!
